それでも、美味しくできました！

ロワーイーストにある、「Schiller's NY」でランチ。

おなかがすきすぎてて、

ランチの写真を撮るの、忘れちゃいました。笑

落ち着いた後に、

デザートの、Creme Brulee.

Creme Bruleeを食べる度に、

「Amelie」の映画を想い出します。

The other day, I enjoyed lunch at "Schiller's NY" in the LES.

I was so hungry that I forgot to take photos of the meal...

However, I managed to get a photo of the dessert:

East Riverの方で、チャリを乗り。

ﾏｲチャリ、まるで太陽に見えました。笑

チャリの回りの風景：

一つだけの大きい、緑のビルは、

Queensにある、CitiBankの建物です。

これが見えると（Queensにいる時）、

だいたい、自分はどこにいるかが分かります。

（方向音痴ですからね・・・）プ

I took a ride along the East River.

As my friend wrote in an earlier comment,

my bike looked like the sun. ^o^

The scenery around me:

Con Edison pipes & CitiBank in Queens.

Now too exciting...

but the ride along the East River was fun!

最近、ナスにはまってまして、

ナスのミソいためをよく食べてます。

Quick & Easy, "Today's Dishes."

Recently, I have been eating Japanese eggplant a lot...

(the skin of Japanese eggplant is not tough or hard, like American eggplant).

Cook the eggplant with miso and mirin--tastes so good!

Put sesame seeds and green onion for garnish.

ご紹介を致します：

「SCHWINN BREEZE」の3-Speed。

1973年のアメリカ生まれ。

（私より古い！！）

オリジナルのイス、ハンダル、ペダル、チェインカバー。

写真を見ると、「Schwinn」とすべてに書いてあります！

モデル番号もまだのこってます。

友達のお店「Chari & Co. NYC」で、

丈夫なロックと後ろのライトをゲット。

後は、前のライト、ベル、バスケット、ヘルメット・・・

ﾏｲチャリはカワイイので、

一人で外（自分のビルの中でも！）におくのがこわいです。

誰かに持ってかれそう・・・(O_O)

ビンテージのチャリなので、けっこう重たいです・・・

My bike: Schwinn Breeze, born in 1973, USA.

It has the original seat,

grip handles, pedals, and chain cover.

If you look at the photos,

you can see the "SCHWINN" imprint/stamp.

You can even see the original model # of the bike!

I got a good lock & light from my friend's store in the LES, "Chari & Co. NYC."

「崖の上のポニョ」、宮崎 駿の映画。

日本では、去年の７月に出たのですが、

アメリカでは、今年の８月に映画館でながれる予定。

でも、英語のボイスオーバがある見たい。

ん〜、言葉が分からなくても、

私は、やっぱり、元の映画で、

subtitlesつきの方がスキだな。

例えば、Wong Kar Waiの「In the Mood For Love」

が英語になってたら、きっと、すごく印象が違うと思う・・・

ちなみに、↑のポニョは、友達が送ってくれました。

（ﾋﾟーちゃん、ありがとう！）

パペットのポニョもｶﾜｲｲ〜！！！欲しい！

"Ponyo on a Cliff," a film by Miyazaki Hayao.

The film was released last summer in Japan,

which is due to come out this August in the US.

Unfortunately, instead of the original cast,

the movie will be dubbed in English with a different cast.

Personally, I like to watch the movie in the original format, even if I cannot understand what they are saying (with subtitles of course).

For example, Wong Kar Wai's "In the Mood for Love" would have such a different impact if it were dubbed in English. Maybe that's because I don't understand the language...?

The little Ponyo doll was sent to me from my friend in Japan.

It's so cute and tiny!!

Rare Items - BAPE Banana

BAPEのNY店のオープニングのディスプレイと使われたバナナ。

商品ではなかったので、

今は、なかなか手に入れるのが難しいと思います。

５種類のバナナも、商品ではなく、

BAPE KIDSのお店のディスプレイアイテム。

The yellow bananas were used as part of the display for the BAPE NY store opening...back in 2004/12?! I can't remember... (O_O)

These were never sold as merchandise, thus very hard to get, especially now.

The other 5 colored bananas are display pieces from the BAPE Kids store in Japan.

昔と比べて、チャリ用のレインがふえてきました。

チャリ用の信号まで、ある所で、発見。

Compared to only a few years ago,

I've noticed an increase of bike lanes in the city.

I was a little surprised to see stop lights for bicycles...

（残念ですが、ポニョはいませんでした・・・）

海や空がすごくキレイで、

わざとこの一枚はボケました。

でも、毎回見ると、

自分の目がおかしいのかな〜と思ってしまう。笑

又、この場所に戻りたいな。

Milk Crepe

アールグレイミルクレープを作ってみました。

昔、友達がミックスベリーミルクレープを作ったのを想い出して、

美味しかったなぁ〜と考えながら、

自分でも作ってみようと思いました。

想像より、以外と大変でした・・・(O_O)

でも、満足してないぶ分があって、

次の日に、イチゴミルクレープを作りました。笑

The other day, I made Earl Grey Milk Crepe.

Long time ago, my friend made a mixed berry milk crepe that was so delicious, I decided to make one myself...

It was a little more work than I had thought... 

but more or less fun.

The next day, I even made another kind, Strawberry Milk Crepe.
